The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is an upcoming Netflix television series. It is a prequel to the Jim Henson film The Dark Crystal (1982). There will be ten episodes and the series will explore the world of Thra created for the original film. On May 21, 2019, it was announced that the series will premiere on August 30, 2019.
