Tapestry is the debut studio album by American folk singer Don McLean. The album was originally released by Mediarts Records but was re-launched in 1971 by United Artists after United Artists' purchase of Mediarts. The album was also reissued in 1981 on Liberty Records, but without including the song "Three Flights Up". The album was produced by Jerry Corbitt of the Youngbloods. All tracks written by Don McLean. Don McLean – vocals, guitar, banjo. Rick Turner – guitar, bass guitar.

American Pie is the second studio album by the American singer-songwriter Don McLean, released by United Artists Records on 24 October 1971. The folk/rock album reached number one on the Billboard 200, containing the chart-topping singles "American Pie" and "Vincent. Recorded in May and June 1971 at The Record Plant in New York City, the LP is dedicated to Buddy Holly, and was reissued in 1980 minus the track "Sister Fatima".

Homeless Brother is an album by American singer-songwriter Don McLean, released in 1974. It was reissued by BGO Records in 1996. All tracks composed by Don McLean except where indicated. Side One. The 1974 album Homeless Brother, produced by Joel Dorn, was McLean's final studio recording for United Artists. The album featured fine New York session musicians, including Ralph McDonald on percussion, Hugh McCracken on guitar and a guest appearance by Yusef Lateef on flute. The Persuasions sang the background vocals on "Crying in the Chapel", and Cissy Houston provided a backing vocal on "La La Love You". Wonderful Baby", a tribute to Fred Astaire that Astaire himself recorded "Superman's Ghost", a tribute to George Reeves, who portrayed Superman on television in the 1950s.
