Back to Front: Live in London is a live album and film by the English rock musician Peter Gabriel, recorded at The O2 in London on 21 and 22 October 2013 during his Back to Front Tour. The release includes the regular recording of the concerts as well as a special "theatrical" version with interviews, directed by Hamish Hamilton. Back to Front: Live in London was released in the following formats: DVD. Blu-ray.

Back to Front (Caravan album). Back to Front is the 1982 album released by Caravan. Back to Front featured the original lineup of Richard Coughlan, Pye Hastings, Richard Sinclair and David Sinclair after 1971's In the Land of Grey and Pink and would be the last album to feature that lineup.

Peter then came back onstage to explain that his show would be delivered in three parts. Part one was an acoustic set, starting off with a new piece with Gabriel playing piano accompanied by Tony Levin on bass. They were then joined by drummer Manu Katché and guitarist David Rhodes, both on acoustic guitars, and keyboardist David Sancious on accordion for the remaining three songs: Talk to Me, Shock the Monkey, and Family Snapshot . Part three, was the pièce de résistance, or ‘dessert’ as Gabriel referred to it – a recreation of the 1986 hit album So. The screens, the stage, and the band glowed with crimson hues as the band opened this set with Red Rain. Sledgehammer had the crowd singing along and back on our feet.

So is the album to which Back to Front owes its gestation to, as it was recorded during Gabriel’s two year world tour in support of the 25th anniversary of his landmark record. Ultimately, Back to Front fails because it doesn’t capture the sonic dynamics of Peter Gabriel albums and live albums in general. I’ve always held a silent bias against live albums, primarily for the fact that they don’t really offer anything new.

There is an alternate reality in which Peter Dinklage is not an actor best known for Game of Thrones, but, perhaps, a singer best known for fronting The Dillinger Escape Plan. Apparently, during a 2013 interview with Playboy, Peter Dinklage - the actor best known for playing ‘Tyrion Lannister’ on Game of Thrones - revealed this lil’ tidbit: I have a pretty big scar that runs from my neck to my eyebrow. I was in a band called Whizzy for many years in New York. We were this punk-funk-rap band. We played a show at CBGB, and I was jumping around onstage and got accidentally kneed in the temple  .

After a string of mediocre Caravan albums, Pye Hastings decided to reconvene all four original members for Back to Front. In an unusually democratic move, he divided the writing between himself, Richard Sinclair, and David Sinclair (with drummer Richard Coughlan abstaining). The result was a generally uneven album, but one that maintains a certain nostalgic charm. Surprisingly, the best songs here were written by David Sinclair, who was usually overshadowed by vocalists Hastings and Richard Sinclair in the early days.
