A band ought to have a sound all of its own. It ought to have a personality. Tonight’s (1/24/14) performance at the First Presbyterian Church in Bonita Springs, FL, was delightful. The numbers were done exactly as the original Glenn Miller band did them. You did the best job with the Miller sound and the reed section that any have done since the original. I saw this orchestra under direction of Larry O’Brien 4 or 5 times and it was great, but Hilscher is better. Keep the band playing the way it is now. Looking forward to the next time in NC!
