Colonel Harland David Sanders (September 9, 1890 – December 16, 1980) was an American businessman, best known for founding fast food chicken restaurant chain Kentucky Fried Chicken (also known as KFC) and later acting as the company's brand ambassador and symbol. His name and image are still symbols of the company. The title 'colonel' was honorary – a Kentucky Colonel – not the military rank.

If you are into b-hit Christmas songs and what is obviously the Colonel having a stroke due to arterial plaque build-up, this is definitely the album for you. You will take great comfort in knowing that each version of every popular Christmas song on this album is completely forgettable and will prevent your Christmas party guest from getting too nostalgic so they can focus on the more important aspects of your party: namely the Styrofoam containers of mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, and whole kernel corn, along with, of course, a bucket of the Colonel's famous chicken, fried with 11 herbs and spices. (MSG counts as 9 of those spices, I'm pretty sure.)You will also avoid those tedious conversations that begin with "I remember this song from my childhood..." and then have to listen to someone prattle-on about the merits of Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, or Brenda Lee. Nope. This is your Christmas and no one is gonna ruin it by getting all nostalgic. This is perfect background noise, appropriate for elevators and shopping malls on a music budget.The only disappointing thing about the album is that despite being on the cover, the Colonel himself does not make an appearance or introduction. That is, of course, understandable because he was in flat-line at the time.

I have nothing to add to this review. After purchasing this album at a record store locally and having the opportunity to listen to it, I agree wholeheartedly.
