Real name: Colángelo, José Leonardo. Pianist, leader and composer. After he recovered himself from the pain, Leopoldo Federico resumed his shows (with Colángelo on piano) and the singers Roberto Ayala and Carlos Gari. Colángelo performed for two years with that group, although he alternatively accompanied Ricardo Malerba on Radio Splendid and also put together a quartet, Cuatro Amigos Para el Tango, which works on Radio El Mundo.

Adios Nonino: La Cumparsita.

Leopoldo Federico has a long history of collaboration with some of the great names: Alfredo Gobbi, Osmar Maderna, Osvaldo Manzi, Hector Stampone, Miguel Calo, Lucio Demare, Mariano Mores, Florindo Sassone, Carlos Di Sarli, Horacio Salgan, and Astor Piazzolla. According to some people, he plays the bandoneon with a style, sweetness, and sense of "soul" that is comparable of Anibal Troilo. Most of the themes on this album are those recorded in 1940s - 1950s by a very famous Argentinean Orquesta Tipica de Carlos Di Sarli. This fact is not surprising given that it was in the Di Sarli's orchestra where Leopoldo Federico have started his musical career. Leopoldo Federico performs them with incredibly strong canyengue feeling and emotionality that perhaps can rival that of Pugliese.
