John Denver and the Muppets: A Christmas Together is an album of Christmas music performed by John Denver and the Muppets, which includes many songs seen later in the TV special of the same name. According to Denver's note from the 1996 CD version, the album was recorded first and led to the TV special. The album was recorded in Britain, and the TV special was videotaped in the United States; as a result, some of the performers and songs differ.

While the usual suspects have more than their say here-Kermit, Miss Piggy-the standout piece is "Twelve Days of Christmas. What could be better than a Muppet a day? Denver leads the critters through a tender "Silent Night," which comes couched in a medley that closes with a rousing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas. John Denver plays it very low key and everythings works extraordinarily well. Silent Night" is charming. This album is an easy listen for the holidays. A good balance of traditional tunes with contemporary songs gives the listener a nice 45 minutes of holiday spirit.
