Cuby & The Blizzards is a legendary Drentse blues band in the mid-sixties the Dutch music world bewildered with stunning live shows and fine sheet metal. Founded by singer Harry Muskee and guitarist Eelco Gelling grew the band soon became the Dutch counterpart of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. Many Dutch blues musician, among whom the later rock star Herman Brood, served some time in the Blizzards, which in turn the American bluesman Eddy Boyd and the Irish rock singer Van Morrison accompanied during their Dutch tours. After many line-up in the mid-1970s seemed definitively over.
