The Screaming Jets - All For One flac album

All for One is the debut album by Australian hard rock band The Screaming Jets which was released in April 1991. It peaked at No. 2 on the ARIA Charts. The Screaming Jets are a hard rock group that formed in January 1989 in Newcastle with singer Dave Gleeson, drummer Brad Heaney, guitarist Richard Lara, guitarist Grant Walmsley and bass guitarist Paul Woseen. Their first performance was at a Newcastle pub in March.

One of the few truly great Australian hard rock albums. This album launches rockin' track after rockin' track at the listener, bursting out with C'mon and putting the pedal to the metal for the duration. How this album didn't spell international success for this band is beyond me. Highlights would include Better - a massive hit in Australia - a plaintive yet defiant tune that descends into a maelstrom of riffery, soloing and vocal meltdown by it's end. The album's lead single, "C'mon", did not reach the top 50 on the related Singles Chart. The second single "Better" was released in March and peaked at No. 4. It was followed by two Top 40 hits, "Stop the World" (June) and "Shine On" (September).

And what did we do with our rock gods of the 70s and 80s". Luckily the band physically can’t copy their heroes note for note. They try really hard, but they just can’t do it. You’ll notice this right from the start when Gleeson, the lead singer, attempts a falsetto and ends up producing one of the most awkward sounds you can imagine. It’s as if he’s still working on it and hasn’t perfected the art yet.

The Screaming Jets are approaching their 30th anniversary and later this month, release their eighth full-length album titled ‘Gotcha Covered’.
