You tried to get away with the worst this time, I caught you I tried to make you stay with my words, but this time I lost you So shitty how you waste love (It's shitty how I waste love) It's so shitty how you waste love (I know it's shitty how I waste. love) Get on livin' that you wasted, wasted, wasted, wasted, wasted. It's so shitty how you waste love (I know it's shitty how I waste love) Get on livin' that you wasted, wasted, wasted, wasted, wasted. I thought we were done How'd you end up in my arms last night? I guess a little bit of pain kinda make it feel good sometimes Why you tryna run when I feel like you the one sometimes?

Calypso is the third studio album by recording artist Harry Belafonte, released by RCA Victor (LPM-1248) in 1956. The album became his second consecutive number-one album on the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart, where it peaked for 31 weeks. In 2018, it was selected for preservation in the National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or artistically significant.

This is the album that made Harry Belafonte's career. Up to this point, calypso had only been a part of Belafonte's focus in his recordings of folk music styles. But with this landmark album, calypso not only became tattooed to Belafonte permanently; it had a revolutionary effect on folk music in the 1950s and '60s. The album consists of songs from Trinidad, mostly written by West Indian songwriter Irving Burgie (aka Lord Burgess).

This swing songs list includes some of the most iconic songs in American popular music history, performed by equally iconic artists ranging from the Glenn Miller Band to Duke Ellington to The Andrews Sisters. The soulful, jazzy music of swing came to prominence in the mid-1930s, ushering in a style of music known for its carefree, upbeat tunes. At the height of its popularity, swing music – which remained popular through the early 1940s – was everywhere, encouraging Americans to jump, jive, boogie, Lindy Hop, and jitterbug. This style also rose to prominence during the swing era. That’s why you’ll find big band icons like Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Cab Calloway, Louis Armstrong, Artie Shaw, and Tommy Dorsey listed here. Large orchestras were assembled to perform swing music, and while technically it can be considered jazz, there is much less improvisation going on.
