Godsmack is the debut album by the band Godsmack. The album was initially paid for by the band and released as All Wound Up, before the band was signed to Universal Records and Republic Records. It was mastered at Sterling Sound in New York City. It differs from All Wound Up by splitting the song Get Up, Get Out! into two tracks (the intro portion being re-titled Someone in London, while the song Goin' Down was removed.

Redirected from No Rest for the Wicked (Godsmack song)). IV is the fourth studio album by the band Godsmack, released on April 25, 2006. This is Godsmack's only studio album produced by Andy Johns. According to Sully Erna: "This is the first time I’ve been totally honest, speaking the truth about real situations," he says. In the past I was always pointing a finger, whether at myself or someone else, but I’ve come clean with myself and the people I can now love and care about.

Godsmack is an American alternative metal band founded in 1995 by singer Sully Erna and bassist Robbie Merrill. The band has released seven studio albums, one EP, two compilations, three video albums, and thirty singles. Erna and Merrill recruited local friend and guitarist Lee Richards and drummer Tommy Stewart to complete the band's lineup. In 1996, Tony Rombola replaced Richards, as the band's guitarist.

New single BULLETPROOF out now. New album, When Legends Rise out now: godsmack. New single BULLETPROOF out now.

Singer/producer Sully Erna unloads a barrage of in-your-face verbal assaults, lambasting the often bumpy road of love relationships.

Truth is, the members of GODSMACK have never been afraid to put in the wor. ike the city they call home, these musicians speak louder, fight harder, and grow stronger each day. Through an uncompromising attitude and uncanny knack for a hummable hook, they quietly became one of modern rock’s most reliable and resonant institutions. Erna also invited Erik Ron after two strong writing sessions into the GODSMACK Headquarters in New England to co-produce the 11 songs with him comprising When Legends Rise. Together, they unlocked an epic urgency evidenced within the title track and album opener. A massive drum march and high-energy riffing give way to an empowering chant, When ashes fall, The legends rise. When you listen to this album, just have some fun with it, he leaves off. That’s what music should do at the end of the day.

Godsmack stormed onto the scene in 1998 with their self-titled debut album, which put the Boston-based rockers on the map. The effort features their breakout and hard-hitting singles like Whatever, Keep Away and Voodoo. With their second album, Awake, the band kept the pedal on the metal with now classic songs like the title track, Greed and the Grammy nominated instrumental cut Vampires

On their debut, Godsmack inject modern metal with a menacing swagger. Ill-tempered howler Sully Erna has nothing but malice for those who cross his path, while the band dish out seriously pugnacious performances. Numerous cuts, including Moon Baby, come encased in nu-metal samples, ominously processed vocals, and saber-toothed funk-but as Bad Religion proves, Godsmack frequently shift into grungy hard rock with minimal effects. The Boston bruisers also flirt with Middle Eastern sounds on Voodoo, which boasts Erna’s deep, sinister moan and a trance-inducing groove. On their debut, Godsmack inject modern metal with a menacing swagger.
