Visions of the Daughters of Albion is a 1793 poem by William Blake, produced as a book with his own illustrations. It is a short and early example of his prophetic books, and a sequel of sorts to The Book of Thel. The central narrative is of the female character Oothoon, called the "soft soul of America", and of her sexual experience.

Daughters of Albion was a folk-pop duo comprised of Greg Dempsey and Kathy Yesse, whose well-produced (self-titled) 1968 studio album was a stew of the best of late-60s influences, including terrific harmonies and production wizardry (courtesy of Leon Russell). Overall a bright, happy sound which was on par with other, better-known groups. Daughters of Albion is also a french band.

Daughters of Albion is happy Californian pop/rock music, imbued with streaks of the kind of weirdness that only cropped up in otherwise normal pop/rock records in the late 1960s. Some of the harmonies are good, if a little on the super-sweet and high side. The odd interjections of orchestration and weird little effects - most likely producer Leon Russell was a strong contributor in this regard - make this more interesting than you might expect from the basis of the songs alone.

The daughters of Albion hear her woes and echo back her sighs. At the edge of the cave sits a man, all alone by his own accord. Theotormon sits on his self-righteous throne, looking down on the woman that he once called Oothoon, refusing her help, ignoring her cries, compiling his own. She tries to call out, but her voice becomes mute she turns to her love, but is met frigidly. His grief becomes hers, and hers voided be. Repent.
