Recorded in London with musicians Dave Rouse, Adrian Grover, and Dave Kenny, the album was a murky, unsettling collage of ominous drones, submerged vocals, and broken equipment. Throbbing Gristle member Chris Carter modified one of the drum machines used on the album, giving it a unique echo sound. The LP was followed by further LPs on Third Mind Records (Psykho Genetika, Black December) and Sterile Records (Glennascaul), as well as several cassettes on Harsh Reality Music.

Talk about Konstruktivits - Black December

Broadcaster
I remember some of the recording sessions down at Shephards Bush, opposite the big pub on the corner. Totally bonkers but awesome. Wierd noises were freaked out and added to the mix in the drinking and smoky room underground where nobody could see or hear us making all this. All I did was soak up the atmosphere. A day to remember. Black December. "seven stars" mad. Throbbing bass synths and haunting vocals in audio works of art. There was a structure to the album, but a lot of stuff was made up at the time to create the atmosphere as we didn't seem to know what would come along next.
