Talk about Justice - Audio, Video, Disco.

I wonder if this pressing tracks any better than the other? https://www.discogs.com/Justice-Audio-Video-Disco/release/3185083

Unreasonable amount of mistracking on this pressing. Guess it could be my setup, though I do have a nice cart laser aligned with a geodisc. I typically get little to no mistracking. This coupled with the other comments here lead me to believe this is just a poor cut? Good thing it comes with a CD... I'm just gonna go ahead and tell myself they cut the album to mistrack on purpose for aesthetic/nostalgia purposes lol

Found out in the comment section that I am not the only one with a bad pressing... So sad because I love this album

I am reasonably confident all copies of this pressing will have the same issue. If you want to buy a second copy, try getting one of this other pressing https://www.discogs.com/Justice-Audio-Video-Disco/release/5007639

My copies of Cross and Woman sound sublime, but this one is just hot garbage. What makes it even worse is that it's my favorite album of theirs. I'm considering getting another just to see if it's any better. Maybe the next one will actually have "Civilization" on it, instead of "Shivilvaphun".

My pressing sounds terrible. (And here are six extra words)

WTF is this? ?

I wonder how "limited edition" this really was, new copies of this edition (complete with the sticker saying limited edition) still seem widely available.
Ce
Great album. The vinyl edition may sound like your speakers are killing themselves. This is deliberate.
Freighton
GreyHexagon This is deliberate. Do you have a source? Or is this just conjecture

Short review: misunderstood album, after the cross hit, because here Justice do something a bit different: making a parody and an homage, at the same time, to the best and worst 70's sounds, hard rock and AOR (and of course with some modern dance beats). Daft Punk hinted those homages with the Supertramp keyboards in "Discovery", but here Justices embrace the sound, unashamedly, with no complexes, and recover the melodrama that was most feared in albums from Journey, Jefferson Starplane or Toto. I found it brilliant, catchy and with a bit of tenderness, but as those 70s sounds are still so demonized, it is no surprise that the album was so coldly received.

I attempted to write a review of this album twice, the first time I lost what I was writing accidentally, the second, my computer crashed. Given that I was about to trash this garbage pop-rock album, and that Justice's logo is a cross, perhaps powers from above were at work? But seriously...this has nothing to do with dance music, and I have no clue why everyone compares Justice to the much more talented Daft Punk.

Finally Justice's second album! Well, a bit disappointed. This is coming from someone who wasn't a huge fan of their debut album. I liked it, but it felt too monotone. This new album shares that same problem. In this new album Justice tries a different, more light, tone. This album fuses together House, Electronic, a bit of funk, alternative, and somehow, 70s/80s rock. It's crazy, but a few tracks in this album remind me of 70s/80s rock album-esqe tracks. The new album opens with a track called "Horsepower" which doesn't sound like an album intro, but an intro to "Civilization" the next track. The first single and one of the best songs on this album. Great mix of rock and electronic. From then on we get a couple of mediocre, lack luster tracks like "Ohio","Brianvision", and "Parade". But you do however get some good, hit hard tracks like "Canon (Primo) and Canon" [which i think is a cheap spoof of "Phantom Pt 1 & 2" from their first album], "On'n'On", "New Lands" and "Helix". The biggest confusion is their decision to put the title track at the end of the album. I always hate it when group either use their title track at the beginning or the end of the album. Plus, I heard the single version and was disappointed at how muddy it sounded and never gave me the bass I wanted. Well, the album version does the track justice. It adds a minute and half to the end where you finally get the bass you were wishing for.Overall its a pretty good album, the vocals, and instruments get monotonous, but i guess that's just their thing. Lacks flow. A lighter version of Cross it is. A replacement, not even close. 3 out of 5
