Ram Jam is the debut studio album by American rock band Ram Jam in 1977. The first track on the album, the single "Black Betty", is Ram Jam's best known song. It went to on the UK singles chart in September 1977. The album reached on the Billboard Pop Albums chart in the United States. The band was re-christened "American Ram Jam" for the UK market to avoid confusion with a UK band with the same name.

Pearl Jam is hardly a light album, though. The songs deal with everything from the war in Iraq to the destruction of the planet. Fans and critics loved it, hailing it as their best release of the 2000s. Vitalogy was the first Pearl Jam album with a rather difficult birth. Eddie Vedder's role in the creative process had grown significantly from their earliest days, and members of the band started to resent his role as the final decider. The band fought like crazy in the studio.

Without this album Pearl Jam would be not nearly as popular. Even if other albums sound better, this one was the most influential. I hate going with "the popular opinion" but this really is their best album. Not that they haven't put out great albums since, they definitely have, all of them are great. But this is still their best. This album is better than all others except maybe Pearl Jam and Ten. This album has the songs Insignificance, Grievance, Rival, Light Years, NAIS, I could go on all day about how good and underrated this album is. - Insignificance.
