I really liked this album from the first listen and each time I play it gets better, ayers rock were a band previously known for "lady montego" from the first . and for their long prog/jazz/rock instrumentals. this album has vocals on all songs which are short and more radio friendly. this is very different to the first two. AYERS ROCK is a Jazz Rock/Fusion, Progressive Rock artist from Australia. Ayers Rock biography Inspired by TRAFFIC, SANTANA and WEATHER REPORT, AYERS ROCK were a leading Australian jazz-rock band back in the 70's.

In 1974 Ayers Rock began recording their debut album, Big Red Rock, at Festival Records' 24-track studio in Sydney. They were dissatisfied with the sound, which failed to capture their music's "live" essence, and recorded it live-in-the-studio at Armstrong's in Melbourne that September. Kennedy told Margaret MacIntyre of Rolling Stone Australia, "Doing the album live was an experiment really and it seemed to work.
