Nathan McLaughlin lives and works in Hudson, NY, via years spent living in Maryland, Minnesota & Pennsylvania. For some time the focus has been on creating music with the reel to reel tape machin. .the primary goal being to create beautiful sound heavily revolving around and directly influenced by the intensity of domestic situations. This goal exists as a way of explaining a complex and fragile life while protecting privacy, anonymity and individual free will.

Love Devotion Surrender is an album released in 1973 by guitarists Carlos Santana and John McLaughlin, with the backing of their respective bands, Santana and The Mahavishnu Orchestra. The album was inspired by the teachings of Sri Chinmoy and intended as a tribute to John Coltrane. It contains two Coltrane compositions, two McLaughlin songs, and a traditional gospel song arranged by Santana and McLaughlin. It was certified Gold in 1973.
