Buckingham and Nicks became the face of Fleetwood Mac during its most commercially successful period, highlighted by the multi-platinum album Rumours, which sold over 40 million copies worldwide. Though highly successful, the group experienced almost constant creative and personal conflict, and Buckingham left the band in 1987 to focus on his solo career. Shortly after joining Fritz, Buckingham invited friend Stevie Nicks to join Fritz as a second vocalist 1973–1974: Buckingham Nicks.

Buckingham Nicks was a 10-track LP by Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham. The album, produced and engineered by Keith Olsen, was recorded in 1973 for Polydor Records. It was released that September and proved to be a commercial failure. The album has since gained cult status. It was reissued in 1976 when Buckingham and Nicks hit the big time with Fleetwood Mac. It has yet to be released on Compact Disc.

Original Vintage Buckingham Nicks LP 12" Vinyl Album - PD 5058. This is the record that started it all for young Stevie Nicks! This beautiful Sleeve and Record are both EX Condition. Produced by Keith Olsen, the album was released in September 1973 by Polydor Records. Buckingham-Nicks was a stiff however and the couple had lost their deal with Polydor. But 1975, of course, proved.

Considering what the duo was to later accomplish, Buckingham Nicks is an engaging listen and served as a proving ground of sorts for both artists' songwriting chops and for Buckingham's skills as an emerging studio craftsman. It was a good enough resumé for Fleetwood Mac, who re-recorded the beautifully cerebral "Crystal" when the duo joined them for 1975's self-titled comeback album. The high-octane rockabilly of "Don't Let Me Down Again" became a staple of the band's concert sets well into the 1980s.

Buckingham Nicks is probably the sole studio album by the American rock duo Buckingham Nicks. Recording and production. While still performing with Fritz, Nicks had attended San Jose State University, studying Speech Communication. Buckingham joined her at college, also managing to balance school and music. In 1972, the two continued to write songs, recording demo tapes at night in Daly City on a one-inch four-track Ampex tape machine Buckingham kept at the coffee roasting plant belonging to.

Buckingham’s occasional missteps aside, Buckingham Nicks is a surprisingly overlooked album, especially considering how famous Buckingham and Nicks would soon become with Fleetwood Mac. However, for tasty slices of '70s pop-rock, Buckingham Nicks delivers in spades. And, even if the music is not really to your liking, the album is worth owning simply for its cover. For that reason I recommend finding it on vinyl. Seriously, if you don’t know the Fleetwood Mac story you need to read up on it.

This album features Nicks' provocative and premier vocals along with Buckingham's obsessive engineering perfection.
