Not from There were an Australian indie rock trio, which formed in 1991 in London by Anthony Hills on drums, Simon Lambert on bass guitar and Heinz Riegler on lead guitar and vocals. They relocated to Brisbane in 1992. Their 1998 single, "Sich Öffnen", was listed on radio station Triple J's Hottest 100. Their debut album, Sand on Seven (September 1998), won the Best Alternative Release category at the ARIA Music Awards in 1999.

She's Not There" is the debut single by British rock band The Zombies, written by organist Rod Argent. It reached No. 12 in the UK Singles Chart in September 1964, and reached No. 1 on the Cashbox chart (No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100) in the United States at the beginning of December 1964. In Canada, it reached No. 2. Rolling Stone magazine ranked "She's Not There" No. 297 on its list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

The soundtrack album for the Bob Dylan biopic I'm Not There was released as a double CD on October 30, 2007. It features only one recording by Dylan himself-his previously unreleased recording of the title song "I'm Not There" recorded during The Basement Tapes' sessions in 1967-plus various other artists' recordings of songs written by Dylan. These CDs do not contain the movie sound track. Not from There released their second album, Latvian Lovers, in 2000. It evolved on the electronic side of the first album throughout. Its first single, "Frisco Disco", was released in January 2001 but had limited commercial success although it appeared on the soundtrack of Australian television drama, The Secret Life Of Us. The band broke up some months later. Riegler contributed vocals to Toshack Highway, Adam Franklin's post Swervedriver debut solo album. Riegler also briefly fronted the three piece punk rock band Nightstick which included Martin Lee on drums and Tam Patton on bass guitar. Nightstick toured Australia throughout 2004–2005 and released a self-titled EP.

I don't recall hearing many of these recordings in the movie itself, but that's not uncommon for a soundtrack these days. The songs were all written by Bob Dylan, as you are probably already aware. Most of these cover songs are quite good, although some are better than others.
