Jac Holzman (born September 15, 1931) is an American businessman, best known as the founder, chief executive officer and head of Elektra Records and Nonesuch Records. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011. Holzman was born to a Jewish family, the son of a Manhattan doctor. He founded Elektra Records in his St. John's College dormitory room in 1950 and Nonesuch Records in 1964.
