Gnosis is the fourth album of the British progressive rock band, Gnidrolog. The album's title, Gnosis, means divine or spiritual knowledge and understanding. Members of Nox Aurea earlier played in several black metal bands while now they try to create the very traditional doom death sound with its own mentality. Gnosis is the debut studio album by British progressive metal band Monuments. It was released on August 27, 2012 through Century Media Records  . Gnosis is instrumental progressive rock. It's not the kind of music that makes one poopular, or successful. It's not for everybody. It's boring, depending on what you hope to get out of your music. There are no hooks, no witty lyrics. Sometimes it is heavily repetitive, sometimes there is no structure whatsoever as the sounds continue shifting. Gnosis is music that I made to enjoy, myself, when i lay down to sleep.

With the ambient electronic Voyager clocking in at 43min and Gnosis almost reaching 50min, it clearly isn’t about length. The goal here is simply to take as long as he needs to push each experiment as far as he can. For better or worse, Gnosis is merely a record of his creative process, with slapped-on lyrics to give it a more coherent story and purpose. For all we know, this entire 50 minute EP could only result in a 2 minute Greek folk section in his next full-length album, depending on how the final product is structured and what is needed to fill in the gaps.
