UFO - UFO 1 / Flying (One Hour Of Space Rock) flac album

UFO 2: Flying (sometimes simply UFO 2 or Flying; also subtitled One Hour Space Rock) is the second album by UFO released in 1971 (see 1971 in music) on the Beacon label; it was issued on CD in 1999 on Repertoire Records. This album is distinctive for its title track, which was among the longest tracks recorded in rock music up to that point and easily the longest song the band ever recorded.

This second album by UFO is dynamite. Much more complex than UFO 1 it utilizes styles from a few bands. Call it experimental, trippy, whatever you choose. It uses plenty of Hendrix and his pioneering of wawa and echo effects, Sabbaths heavy basing, The Who, and even a little early Nugent. Phil Moog was developing his vocal style and it would still be two years before Michael Schenker would make his vinyl appearance. Many people hadn't even heard of UFO before Phenomenon, but this album is definitely worth going back fo. ECOMMENDED FOR YOU.

The band had become more confident and focused, as they embraced the cosmic sounds of Mick Bolton's guitar and made the transition from blues and psychedelia to heavy rock.
