This is an unusual LP (from the British Spotlite label) featuring drummer Buddy Rich during a period when he was mostly heading smaller groups. The two radio broadcasts (which originated from Birdland) feature the explosive drummer in a quintet also including the obscure but talented trombonist Ole Hansen, altoist Sonny Criss, pianist Kenny Drew and bassist Phil Lesin.
