Carol Jiani is a Nigerian singer based in England, best known for her early 1981s hit "Hit 'N Run Lover". On the heels of "Hit N Run Lover"'s success, Matra Records commissioned a complete album, also titled

The Carol Douglas Album. The woman in me (remix). First Time I Saw You (Club Mix).

The Woman in Me is the second studio album by Canadian country singer Shania Twain and her first with the majority of the songs co-written by her. Released on February 7, 1995, it went on to become her biggest-selling recording at the time of its release, selling 4 million copies by the end of the year, and was eventually certified 12 Platinum by the RIAA on December 1, 2000, representing 12 million shipments throughout the United States, and 20 million copies worldwide

The Woman in Me" was the album's second single but its B-side, the uptempo "Mercy", written by Pete Bellotte and Sylvester Levay which featured off-key horns, exceeded the A-side in popularity among DJs becoming another hit for Jiani. Mercy", the only track on the album not composed by Sandy Wilbur, was recorded earlier by Judy Cheeks. 2007: "First Time I Saw You" with Jazz Voice. 2007: "Ask Me" with Mauzio Verbeni. 2007: "Keep On" with House Bros.

Carol Jiani's delicious new LP offering "Carol Jiani-Ask Me" is a sparkling R&B/dance smash featuring the R&B classic "Ask Me" and her new single "You're Gonna Lose My Love". Produced by Joe LaGreca for Matra Records Lt. proclaimed the September 18, 1982 issue. The album was an out & out smash. Although Carol does rap with a certain finesse. The centerpiece of the album was Carol's rendition of the Thelma Houston disco classic "Don't Leave Me This Wa. Carol was the first artist brave enough to tackle such a beloved club hit. Her version is impeccable. For the next several years Carol fell out of the spotlight. Perhaps she spent the time raising her daughter and being a homemaker, something Carol was also a natural at. She resurfaced again in 1995. Her two 12" singles on Lime Records were quite a surprise!
