Al Bano and Romina Power are an Italian pop music duo formed in 1975 by then-married couple Albano Carrisi and Romina Power. They were highly successful in Italy and mainland Europe throughout the 1980s and the early 1990s. Their best known international hits include "Felicità", "Sharazan", "Tu, soltanto tu (Mi hai fatto innamorare)", "Ci sarà", "Sempre sempre", and "Libertà!". The duo primarily recorded in Italian but have also released a great number of records in Spanish and French.

Felicità (Italian for Happiness) is a studio album by Italian duo Al Bano and Romina Power, released in 1982 by Baby Records. The album was an international commercial success and included two of their biggest hits, "Felicità" and "Sharazan". In some territories, it was confusingly released under the title of their previous album, Aria pura, even though the two LPs contained different material

The duo broke through with the release of the album "Felicità" in 1982: four tracks were on the charts at once, and the title track took the 2nd place at the San Remo Festival, where two years later will win with the song "Ci Sarà". In 1985 Al Bano & Romina Power again represented Italy at Eurovison, once again taking the 7th place with "Magic, Oh Magic". They released several more albums before parting ways in 1999. Al Bano resumed his solo carreer, while Romina tried her hand at acting and painting.

The Abba-meets-the Carpenters sound of Al Bano and Romina Power is quite apparent on Felicita, one of the only albums of theirs from this period to make it to America. The music is definitely novel, with kitchy touches like outer space noises and loads of reverb. But all the tricks do is dilute the real problem with this album: it is very, very dated. The music is fun and has its value, but this album screams its own time period, from the production to the music itself. The album is okay, but it really is something that would appeal to long time fans much more than any other group.
