Pestilent Reign, founded in the year 2013 by Lars Hägele and Christoph Sauner, is a Death Metal band located in the area around Stuttgart (southern Germany). First local shows were played, after Max Köhler joined the band to complete the line-up. In May and June 2017 Pestilent Reign recorded their first full length album with Christoph Brandes (Iguana Studios, Freiburg) who produced bands like Necrophagist. Discography : 2015 – Shivering Chaos (EP).

Death Metal from Germany.

The album is filled with thrashy hooks, screeching flourishes and an underlying devastation but it doesn’t sound or feel unique enough. Ultimately it’s a record that doesn’t feel like it’s got a lot of purpose. The fierce drumming just one element that makes this a damn fine finish.
