Panagiotis Spoulos (Wham Jah, Reverse Mouth, also labelhead of Phase! in Greece), as Dead Gum, mainly uses guitar and voice through minimal effects to create instant songs, psychedelic collages and direct, stripped-down bursts. The music itself –partially improvised but fully psychographic– has anthropocentric characteristics and lo-fi character and flirts with punk, bedroom pop and analog noise.

Smoke, An Ally, freely curated by the subconscious, evolves on sonic interpretations that emerge from a specific vocal pattern of indelible words. Variations of monad launch a descent to translucent memory fields. Numb listening, ceaselessly transformed inwards, unto the inner light of the night, nearing, until it dims down once again to blackness. Dead Gum is the solo project of Panagiotis Spoulos. His debut studio LP "GAINER" was released in 2014 while the follow-up "META" is in the works

Meta", Dead Gum’s sophomore studio album, constituted a challenge for its maker. While Gainer - its predecessor - hollered for awareness and singularity, this one indulges into multi-layered, ambiguous narratives tracing an impossible duality. With abiding influences that distance him from conspicuous contemporary norms, Panagiotis Spoulos creates a nocturnal, desolate sound collage, invoking a meta-purpose for a/the current status quo.

A jealous lover bombarded his ex-girlfriend with death threats - including one warning 'I swear on everything he's a dead man' - before teaming up with his family to murder her new boyfriend, a court heard today. Jay Sewell, 18, was fatally stabbed by a nine-strong group including Daniel 'Joe' Grogan, 20, after Gemma Hodder started seeing the teenager, the Old Bailey heard.

The album was recorded over six weeks during 2008 with Finn (Govinda Doyle) – who also provided drums and bass guitar – in a converted old water tank on Finn's property in North Queensland.
