Omar-S (real name Alexander Omar Smith) is an electronic music producer from Detroit, Michigan, United States He has self-released most of his music through his label FXHE Records Detroit, and in 2009 alluded to the reason behind the decision, saying: "I don't have a good relationship with a lot of distributors. So why waste money?". Smith is noted for maintaining a low-key public profile despite having released. In Side My Head (2005). Side-Trakx-Volume- (2006).

Omar-S announces his first record of the year, 1992. The three-track 12-inch from the Detroit house staple is out next month. Amelie Lens, Peggy Gou and Omar-S will play the September event at Sohail Castle in Fuengirola.

Omar-S' music can be plain odd, soulful, jerky, y-intentionally produced, makes you curiously bored, or nervously happy and funked out to the max - Diverse.

Man, if this is what's going on inside of Omar-S' head, it must be a crazy place to be. This is just nasty stuff here, really low slung funky house/techno material that really rips through just about anything else coming out these days. I can't even properly describe the sound achieved here, i can see parallels with jacking Chicago house as usual but there's even some hints of Mr. Oizo's bass heavy electro-funk house. This tune doesnt even have much of an intro, it just drops straight into the beats and bass, good for cutting up.
