The members are die-hard old school metalheads and their passion for the genre hasn't diminished despite having relocated to a remote region in the North-Eastern section of the country, in Aizwal, Mizoram. What sets Third Sovereign’s album, Perversion Swallowing Sanity, apart from many others of the neo-death metal world is its layered and varied musical style. I can hear some allusions to thrash metal in the opening riffs of Dark Black and the occasional major scale adds to the band’s musical repertoire of crazy playing ability. I did not run into many guitar solos in this record, but the one that shreds its way into your ear canal on Sarcophaga is blistering, full of shrieks, and ultimately embodies the forceful and caustic approach that Third Sovereign takes on their craft
