John Mahoney, The Gazette. I was Mr. Irrelevant 2008, yeah, the 36-year-old Brodeur-Jourdain said after the Alouettes went through a walk-through practice Wednesday morning. It didn’t really motivate me. First and foremost, I was blessed to get drafted by the Montreal Alouette. hat’s one thing that I was really happy about. Secondly, getting Mr. Irrelevant just means that you get an opportunity. Brodeur-Jourdain, a CFL East Division All-Star in 2012 and 2014, showed up at training camp this year to provide depth at the centre position but, after two games, realized he was no longer needed and it was time to hang up his helmet. I will miss everythin. he good, the bad and the ugly. I will miss everything about being a player in the CFL, Brodeur-Jourdain said. It’s been an amazing journey that I’m grateful, thankful for.
