Dijon Isaiah McFarlane (born June 5, 1990), known professionally as Mustard (formerly DJ Mustard), is an American record producer, DJ, record executive and hype man from Los Angeles, California. He is a collaborator of Compton-bred rapper YG, and has produced singles for hip hop and R&B artists since his entrance into mainstream music in 2011. Mustard's production style has been described as an up-tempo, club oriented, catchy yet rudimentary melodic hip hop style

Ronn McFarlane is perhaps best known in his role as a skilled lutenist in The Baltimore Consort, but he holds his own as a soloist. Born in West Virginia, but reared in Maryland, McFarlane came to learn the guitar after hearing the riffs of the popular tune "Wipeout. With rock guitar as his foundation, he found himself turning his studies to classical guitar. After graduation from Shenandoah Conservatory and further studies in classical guitar at the Peabody Conservatory, he eventually decided in 1978 to make the lute his instrument of choice.

It was an album that said, you hear this sound, you hear what I’m laying down, everything is about to change. Ornette Coleman went from playing the sax to the trumpet, and he received scorn from Miles Davis who publicly questioned Coleman’s sanity and technical ability. This 1973 album was influenced by Curtis Mayfield and Sly Stone. Even if you don’t like jazz but you love funk and soul, you’ll likely enjoy this one. At one point, Head Hunters was the best selling jazz album of all time. Be warned though, there is experimentation happening here.
