Glen Hansard is a fantastic singer and a masterful storyteller during his live shows. That night, I bought their first CD. I was impressed with nearly every track and I went out and bought a CD from Hansard's other band, The Frames. Then a few months later, I saw that Hansard and Marketa were appearing in a film together called Once, which features a great deal of music from that Swell Season CD. I was overjoyed to see the band would then go on to win an Oscar.
