After a two-month tour in 1999, Dave and Tim closed their acoustic run on the evening of March 13 at the Berkeley Community Theater in Berkeley, CA. The duo’s time on the road leading up to this night shows as the performance is exceptional. From the first note of the Granny opener, to the encore of "Digging A Ditch, "Lover Lay Down", and "Ants Marching, there is not an ill note throughout.

is a song by the Dave Matthews Band, featured on 1996 album Crash. was originally written by Dave Matthews as a reply to lawsuits brought forth by Ross Hoffman, a former associate and manager of the band. Hoffman owned rights to a number of the band's songs in the early 1990s; however, due to creative differences, he was eventually fired by the band, and the band's present manager, Coran Capshaw, was hired.

DMB Live Trax Vol. 14: Nissan Pavillion. A sentimental choice, this live album marks the last show that saxophonist and DMB founding member LeRoi Moore played before his tragic death on Aug. 19, 2008. Moore passed away from complications stemming from injuries sustained during an ATV accident. Live at Luther College. Okay, technically this isn't a live DMB album, rather a Dave & Tim record, but it's their most essential one. (Tim, for the record, is the mind-bogglingly good musical genius that is guitarist Tim Reynolds. Before Reynolds joined the band permanently, he was a frequent collaborator, including on this 1999 album, which helped elevate acoustic tracks into trippy toe-tappers. sounds good in any capacity, but with Reynolds' weeping guitar accompanying Matthews, it goes to a whole new level.

And yet, it’s not only DMB favorites that shine; but also Tim’s skilled playing of his complex original compositions, as well as fantastic covers of Daniel Lanois’ "For The Beauty of Wynona" and Lyle Lovett’s "If I Had A Boat", make this show a true listening pleasure. This intimate performance has been mixed from the original multitrack tapes.
