Disco 2000's debut single, the first of three, was "I Gotta CD", released on 30 October 1987. Neither this nor its follow-ups "One Love Nation" (1988) and "Uptight (Everything's Alright)" (1989) entered the UK Singles Chart, despite the pop production sound and some publicity, including music videos for "One Love Nation" and "Uptight". Uptight (Everything's Alright)" is a 1965 hit single recorded by American singer-songwriter Stevie Wonder for the Tamla (Motown) label. One of his most popular early singles, "Uptight (Everything's Alright)" was the first Stevie Wonder hit single to be co-written by the artist. A notable success, "Uptight (Everything's Alright)" peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Pop Singles chart in early 1966, at the same time reaching the top of the Billboard R&B Singles chart for five weeks
Uptight (Everything's Alright). Disco 2000 were a British pop band from London, England, notable as a side project of The KLF. Vocal duties were handled by Cressida Cauty (wife of KLF co-founder Jimmy Cauty) and June Montana aka Mo (former vocalist of Jimmy Cauty's previous band Brilliant). Between 1987 and 1989, Disco 2000 released three singles on the KLF Communications label, none of which entered the top 75 of the UK Singles Chart.

Uptight (Everything's Alright). During a brainstorming session, Wonder pulled out a few lines of a song he was working on. All the singer/songwriter had was the line "everything's alright, uptight. Paul, seeing the beginnings of a hit song, teamed Wonder with songwriter Sylvia Moy and Motown staff arranger/producer Henry Cosby. Co-written by Wonder, Cosby, and Moy, and co-produced by the label's A&R head, William "Mickey" Stevenson, the dynamic "Uptight (Everything's Alright)" parked at number one R&B for five weeks and made it to number three pop in early 1966.
