Roger Williams (born Louis Jacob Weertz, October 1, 1924 – October 8, 2011) was an American popular music pianist. Weertz was born to a Lutheran minister, the Rev. Frederick J. Williams was a Steinway Artist and the first pianist to be honored by Steinway with their Steinway Lifetime Achievement Award. Seven singles by Mr. Williams made it onto the Billboard Top 40, perhaps the best known of which - and the one that brought him stardom - was Autumn Leaves.

After divorcing her, he married again in 1985, to Louise DiCarlo. In 1955 Williams recorded "Autumn Leaves", the only piano instrumental to reach on Billboard magazine's popular music charts. Until his death on October 8, 2011 from complications of pancreatic cancer, Williams resided in Encino, California and had recently bought the rights to his Kapp masters from the Universal Music Group.

Roger Williams' third, self-titled album for Kapp was his breakthrough featuring the number one smash from the summer of 1955, "Autumn Leaves. Backed by Glenn Osser's dramatic strings, the 30 year old's rippling piano sounds are a dynamic contrast as well as complement to the "full, rich orchestra" described in the liner notes

In this recording, I was looking for quality sound and good production. I was not disappointed. The sound reproduction is outstanding. The production carefully orchestrates the performers. Not only is Williams presented well on the piano, but the performers on each song are blended beautifully. Till" and "Born Free" are exceptional for merging of choir and piano. Lara's Theme" is wonderfully orchestrated.

20 hrs ·. President Trump has been cleared of any wrongdoing, but the Democrats have doubled down on their one true goal: to harass our president and continue this baseless witch hunt. They clearly don't care about illegal immigration, healthcare, the economy, or about what's best for the American people. 19 April at 08:23 ·. No collusion.
