Come On Over is the third studio album recorded by Canadian country music singer Shania Twain. It was released on November 4, 1997. It became the best-selling country music album, the best-selling studio album by a female act, and the best selling album by a Canadian. It is the eighth best-selling album in the United States, and sixteenth best-selling album in the United Kingdom.

Come On Over by Shania Twain is one hour and twenty-six minutes and was released on November 4, 1997 and has since gone double Diamond. Come On Over was the number one Top Country Album for 1999. Only five of the sixteen songs on this cassette did not chart; that says a lot for this album. The Woman In Me got Shania noticed but this was hear break-out album. Come on Over took home four Grammy Awards; two in 1998 and two in 1999. The album itself is a mixture of county, rock, and pop genre. The songs on this cassette range from anywhere upbeat, sad, funny and serious. In my opinion this is her.

Come on Over, the sequel to The Woman in Me, continues that approach, breaking from contemporary country conventions in a number of ways. Not only does the music lean toward rock, but its 16 songs and, as the cover proudly claims, "Hour of Music," break from the country tradition of cheap, short albums of ten songs that last about a half-hour.

Before Shania Twain, country music still largely felt like an American niche. After she released Come On Over in 1997, all of that changed. Why Come On Over Is Important: Well, it's the best-selling country album of all time. It's also the best-selling album by a female artist. It spawned an insane 12 singles (seven No. 1's), won four Grammys and spent 50 weeks at the top of the chart. But beyond the numbers, the album accomplished some amazing feats. For one, Twain wrote every song on the record (alongside producer and husband Mutt Lange)
