Te Vaka is an Oceanic music group that performs original contemporary Pacific music or "South Pacific Fusion". The group was founded in 1995 by singer and songwriter Opetaia Foa'i in New Zealand.

Olatia, is the fifth studio album, released in 2007, by the Oceanic group, Te Vaka. It won the Best Pacific Album category in the New Zealand Music Awards Olatia has more of a contemporary feeling to it while still blending in traditional Polynesian music Te Vaka are known for, with many of the songs focusing on spiritual, social, or environmental issues. Way back when, the first Te Vaka album was described as "a stereotype smashing glimpse into the true soul of the South Seas" and awakened people to the idea that that South Pacific had something very valuable to offer the world musically. The second album, Ki mua, with it's hit single 'Pate Pate' went to on World Music charts around the world and on mainstream radio throughout the Pacific Islands. The third album, Nukukehe, saw the group nominated for two BBC Radio 3 World Music awards. The fourth album, Tutuki, won Best Pacific Music album in 2004.
