The Original Human Being is the most polished and professional album of Blue Cheer's career, and there's a lean but muscular proto-boogie groove that infuses most of the album's 11 songs, and the performances sound tight and well-focused throughout. The Original Human Being is Blue Cheer's fifth album. It was released in 1970 and shows Blue Cheer exploring a more psychedelic and laid‑back rock and roll with horn sections on a few of the songs. Blue cheer bc the original human being oh! Pleasant hope. The musical content of BLUE CHEER's self-titled 4th album is a continuation of the direction begun on Side One of NEW! IMPROVED! Drummer Paul Whaley had quit before recording commenced, leaving Dickie Peterson as the last original member. Whaley was replaced by Norman Mayell, late of SOPWITH CAMEL. He would remain with the band until their first dissolution in 1972.
