Christopher Franke left Tangerine Dream because he felt that his creativity was being stifled by their preponderance of soundtrack work. Strangely enough, he has been involved in over 30 soundtrack projects since leaving TD and he contracted to compose the weekly score for Babylon 5. He even founded the Berlin Symphonic Film Orchestra to assist in those efforts. New Music for Films, Vol. 2 is a collection of Franke's work with that ensemble. In theory, one would expect this to be the best from those recordings

Notes

This release comes with a full color 16-page booklet that lists feature films and television credits and shows photos of the soundtrack releases with Tangerine Dream. Also includes a biography.

This release never made it into general circulation and was intended to promote Franke's soundtrack music to obtain future work with the film industry. Very few copies exist, but the actual circulation is unknown.

Sonic Images Records is not explicitly credited and the booklet title is printed on a circular sticker. Also, the track list on the tray insert is not printed on the insert, but it is on a high quality clear plastic printed insert.
