Dead or Alive were an English pop band formed in 1980 in Liverpool. The band found success in the mid-1980s, releasing seven singles that made the UK Top 40 and three albums on the UK Top 30. They were the first band under the production team of Stock Aitken Waterman to have a number-one single. At the peak of their success, the lineup consisted of Pete Burns (vocals), Mike Percy (bass), Steve Coy (drums) and Tim Lever (keyboards).

The discography of Dead or Alive, a British dance-pop group, consists of seven studio albums, five compilation albums, twenty eight singles, and two video albums. Formed by frontman Pete Burns in 1980 in Liverpool, England, the band were first signed to the independent Rough Trade label in 1982, though moved to Epic Records the following year.

Dead Or Alive was the most exciting and interresting dance music act ever (both musically and visually). It's a shame they were never really taken seriously by the music industry and the critics alike but they had legions of fans who really appreciated their work. People often pre-judged them (first because of the singer's androginous and provocative looks, then because of his plastic surgery operations) instead of paying attention to their music (which was very avant-garde) and their lyrics (which were also very good and witty for the most part).
