The sense of mystery it gives me is really subtle, because there was nothing mysterious about these samples back in the days. It’s surprising how VHS N64 is way more that the sum of its parts. Hope there will be a cassette reissue, I have to get a physical copy of this.

VHS N64 is, in some regards, the actual best album of its kind, a king of the broken transmission, signalwave genre, the feeling that this is really something found on a warped VHS in thrift and in some town that no non-resident’s been since 1988. Or it feels like a counterfeit from Belarus, an attempt at western culture export for a yadda yadda do you really care et cetera.
