The Golden Road (1965–1973) is a twelve-CD box set of the Grateful Dead's studio and live albums released during their time with Warner Bros. Records, from 1965 to 1973. After 1973, the band went on to create its own label, Grateful Dead Records. Also included in the box set is a two-disc bonus album, Birth of the Dead, containing very early recordings of the band.

Ron Goodwin, Music Department: Frenzy. Ron Goodwin was born on 17th February 1925 in Plymouth. He was the son of a London policeman who was detached to the harbour-town. His mother felt that piano lessons would be a good pastime, so in his fifth year, the little Ron was hoisted onto a piano-stool and his education on this instrument began. Ron himself was at that time not really.

He then recorded under his own name Ron Goodwin and His Concert Orchestra and became a top-selling artist in his own right. His first film score was Whirlpool in 1958 and during his lifetime he scored over 60 feature films. In his 60 years in the music business Ron Goodwin composed, arranged, orchestrated and conducted music in all fields of the profession.

Ron Goodwin was up there with some of the best film composers. I managed to get hold of a signed LP by him in a charity shop. I have music of his on CD and vinyl, and the range of film music he did was quite varied. The music also allows you to train with the men who attacked the Turpiz or help the RAF and the SOE to destroy the V1 and V2. The music has atmosphere, mood and violence which draws the listener in, you will find your self humming the tunes and thinking about the films they are associated with.
