The Twinkle Brothers are a Jamaican reggae band formed in 1962, and still active in the 21st century. The Twinkle Brothers were formed in 1962 by brothers Norman (vocals, drums) and Ralston Grant (vocals, rhythm guitar) from Falmouth, Jamaica. The band was expanded with the addition of Eric Barnard (piano), Karl Hyatt (vocals, percussion), and Albert Green (congas, percussion).

The Twinkle Brothers were formed in 1962 in their own town Falmouth, Trelawny. As a group they entered the local talent contests winning six times in succession 1962-68. It was lead vocalist and drummer, Norman Grant who first made a record in 1966; Somebody Please Help Me for Leslie Kong’s Beverley’s label.

Twinkle Brothers powstali w 1962 roku na Jamajce i dziś stanowią kanon roots reggae. Bracia Norman i Ralston Grantowie byli laureatami lokalnych konkursów muzyki pop i mento, a w 1968 roku zdobyli laury najlepszej grupy wokalnej na wyspie. They repeated this success a year later with the next prize for Norman Grant as a solo artist. Everyone on the island knew them as Twinkle Brothers, although Norman also recorded solo for Beverley's of Leslie Kong. In 1975 they released first full album "Rasta Pon Top". Finally Virgin Records started publishing their music in Europe and beyond.
