Madrigal" is the second episode of the fifth season of the American television drama series Breaking Bad, and the 48th overall episode of the series. Written by series creator Vince Gilligan and directed by Michelle MacLaren, it originally aired on AMC in the United States on July 22, 2012.

Tapestry is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Carole King, released in 1971 on Ode Records and produced by Lou Adler. It is one of the best-selling albums of all time, with over 25 million copies sold worldwide. In the United States, it has been certified Diamond by the RIAA with more than 10 million copies sold. It received four Grammy Awards in 1972, including Album of the Year.

Madrigal" is the second episode of the fifth season of Breaking Bad and the forty-eighth episode altogether. At a test kitchen in Germany, Madrigal Electromotive executive Peter Schuler glumly tastes a variety of dipping sauces. His secretary interrupts to inform him the police have arrived. On his way to face his fate, Schuler walks through the building's immense lobby and sees the large emblem for Los Pollos Hermanos being taken down by a work crew

The "Time Of The Season" single, however, became a huge hit in America even though the group had disbanded and couldn't support it. It sold over a million copies, peaking at on March 29, 1969. With their newfound American success, band members Rod Argent, Paul Atkinson and Hugh Grundy got the band back together, minus lead singer Colin Blunstone. He said in The Guardian February 22, 2008: "'Time of the Season' was the last thing to be written (for the album). I remember thinking it sounded very commercial.

The Zombies originally released Time of the Season written by Rod Argent and The Zombies released it on the album Odessey and Oracle in 1968. It was also covered by MonaLisa Twins, Jalopy Five, Sally Harmon, The Sweptaways and Howlin' Pelle and other artists. It is sampled by Melanie Fiona and Eminem. Time of the Season Single October 22, 1968. After previous singles from "Odessey and Oracle" flopped in the US, record label Date re-released "Time of the Season" backed by "Friends of Mine" and the song made its breakthrough in the US in early 1969 over a year after the band split up. It reached on the Billboard Hot 100 in March, topped the Cashbox chart and also reached in Canada.
