The Getaway - What Can You Do? flac album

The Getaway is singer Chris de Burgh's sixth original album, released on A&M Records in 1982. It was the first studio album of de Burgh's to chart in the UK, following the compilation Best Moves a year earlier. The album peaked at number 30 in the UK and spent 16 weeks on the chart. In the week beginning 7 February 1983, the album went to the top of the album charts in the then West Germany.

Encore, The Getaway and Detroit. All songs have a different tone but they are magnificently constructed by Danger Mouse who produced them. Each song has something special but to me, these have that extra thing, that extra quality that just stand out. Therefore, I need not explain every detail.

The Getaway finds the band experimenting with more sounds in the musical palette, with keyboards and piano taking on a bigger role in the overall scheme of things. Those who've heard the single "Dark Necessities" got a bit of that with the Death Cab for Cutie-like opening before the familiar Flea bass funk kicks in. There's more of that later as tracks like the title track, "Sick Love" and "Feasting on the Flowers" thrive in parts when the keys and or piano take over. The Getaway is a perfect title for an album that finds Red Hot Chili Peppers breaking the mold a bit, and while it may take some longtime fans a bit to adjust, this "getaway" is a journey worth taking and growing with. The Getaway Plan is a rock band from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, that was formed in 2004. The band consists of lead vocalist, pianist and rhythm guitarist, Matthew Wright, lead guitarist, Clint Ellis, bassist, Mike Maio and drummer, Dan Maio. The Getaway Plan found commercial success in Australia upon the release of their debut studio album, Other Voices, Other Rooms, in 2008. The album peaked at number one on the AIR Charts (Australian Independent Records) and number 14 on the ARIA Albums Chart.
