Another song uniquely composed for Budapest Selected is by yvein monq aka Gryllus Ábris, who is also the graphic designer of NVC and Selected Sounds. MOM is a robust footwork song hiding under a pitch-black hoodie that will never disappoint. Mystique is also an important feature in Volkova Sisters’s Taksony, where Berger Dalma’s singular voice is paired with acoustic guitars, organic synth sounds and intimate field recordings. The trio reached new heights in its career by completing its first album, Blood Shapes This Faith. Surfalone is a new project that debuts with its first song on Budapest Selected. Halszív goes back to the generation’s teenage years and reshapes a song by cult Hungarian indie-rock band Kispál és a Borz released in 1992.
