Run for Cover (Gary Moore album). Run for Cover is the fifth solo studio album by Irish guitarist Gary Moore, released in 1985. It is often considered his breakthrough album. The album includes the top 5 single "Out in the Fields" and a re-recording of the song "Empty Rooms", originally from Moore's previous album Victims of the Future, which became one of Moore's biggest solo successes, reaching No. 23 on the UK charts.

Gary Moore is undoubtedly one of the most underrated guitarists in rock, throughout his career he has dabbled in more music genres than you can shake a stick at and has excelled in creating some of the best guitar orientated rock music of all time. It is possibly Gary Moore’s best and most consistent heavy metal album, and is a good place to start if you’re looking to get into early to mid 80’s era Gary Moore. This is one of those live albums that makes you wish that you could have been there, but if you weren’t, listening to this is a damn good compromise. You definitely need to make more. Try a Maiden classic. Overall this is an astonishingly good live album by a criminally underrated musician".

Gary Moore’s inauspicious solo debut album from 1973 failed to impress all that many people, but at least it was a start! After cutting his teeth as a sideman with several bands, the Belfast, Ireland-born guitar prodigy, still just 21 at the time of this recording, clearly wasn’t quite ready to rule his own Cream-inspired power trio. Following his debut’s commercial failure, Gary Moore briefly joined Thin Lizzy, reuniting with former Skid Row (no relation to the ‘80s hair rockers) bandmate Philip Lynott. The Irish twosome (Lynott hailed from Dublin, Moore from the North) enjoyed a tempestuous relationship, which fizzled for the first, but not last time, midway through Lizzy’s Night Life album sessions
