A Letter from My Son. Melverine Thomas.

A Letter From My Son ‎(7", Single, Promo).

Thomas Edison’s mother lied about the contents of a letter from her son’s school informing her that the school had expelled him for mental deficiencies. Thomas Edison was described by educators as addled and spent only a few months in a formal classroom before being taken out of school and educated by his mother. Edison's mother received no such letter, and no evidence supports the claim that she lied to her son about his performance in the classroom to protect his feelings

The message written on the letter was Your son is mentally deficient. We cannot let him attend our school anymore. And one day his teacher send a letter with his mother and wrote they cannot teach her son he is useless for study; but Thomas Alva Edison's mother did not showed that letter to him and instead said that Thomas is very intelligent student and don't need study he is born genius for motivating Thomas. Then Thomas started his own experiments by his own and also was going to sell newspapers for some money. Truly the Thomas Alva Edison's biography is very inspiring. Letter from an Unknown Woman is a 1948 American drama romance film directed by Max Ophüls. It was based on the novella of the same name by Stefan Zweig. In 1992, Letter from an Unknown Woman was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

Meghan's leaked letter reveals how 74-year-old Thomas Markle broke her heart "into a million pieces" by badmouthing the royal family and her marriage to Prince Harry. Over five pages, the Duchess of Sussex pours out her heart to her father in a letter she wrote in August. But her handwritten appeal has only deepened her dispute with Mr Markle, who today today slammed its contents. He told the Mail on Sunday the gut-wrenching five-page letter was a "dagger to the heart" which left him "devastated". The 74-year-old said: "This is not the girl I know. It's not the way she talks. When she signs off it's 'Meg'.

The intent of this letter is to let you, Mom, know how much you mean to me and to also hopefully inspire other sons and daughters to take a second to embrace those true emotions and thoughts. I wish I could have you forever, but unfortunately, I know you that's not possible. I know I haven't been the best son in the world. I've called you names; I've upset you; I've given you headaches. It's unfortunately part of the many phases every son and daughter growing into an adult has. There's the "hold my hand in the grocery store" phase, the "ew, don't kiss me" phase, the "Mom isn't cool" phase and lastly, the "my mom is the greatest" phase. You have always been proud of my accomplishments and accepting of my failures.

I finally sat down and wrote a letter to my son for him to read when he's older. It tells him how proud I am of him and what makes him so special at this stage in his life. I hope to do this every. But since he married a damaged, angry woman, and since my son rejected God either because of her or just coincidently when meeting her, he has disrespected me and has done nothing to stop his wife from treating me badly. And she, with his assent, has done everything possible to take my grandsons away from me.

Writer Jeff Hannusch introduced me to Irma Thomas in 1983. As a follow-up to records I had made in New Orleans by James Booker, Tuts Washington and Johnny Adams, I developed a series called Modern New Orleans Masters, and Thomas was our first new signing. The resulting album, The New Rules, features the funky, loose-limbed grooves of her working band, and a mix of old and new songs, notably the debut of the Doc Pomus-Ken Hirsch song ‘There Is Always One More Time. The title track came from Paul Kelly, the R&B writer known for the Angela Bofill hit ‘Personally.
