Judge Dredd: The Megazine is a monthly British comic magazine, launched in October 1990. It is a sister publication to 2000 AD. Its name is a play on words, formed from "magazine" and Dredd's locale Mega-City One. Like 2000 AD, Judge Dredd Megazine is an anthology, featuring both ongoing and stand-alone stories. Some series have comprised a specific storyline while others only a loose thematic connection.

Judge Joseph Dredd is the titular character of the Judge Dredd universe. Judge Dredd is a clone of the "Father of Justice" Eustace T. Fargo, and is the most feared, respected, and widely known of all the Judges. Judge Dredd first appeared in Prog 2 of 2000 AD and is the longest running character therein, having appeared in all but a handful of Progs.

Worse still, a fatal disease is driving Judges insane, turning them into psychotic killers.

In 1995 when Judge Dredd starring Sylvester Stallone in the title role hit theatres; critics derided it, audiences dismissed it as "dumb" and it failed to achieve commercial success. Even though this film has gained a cult following, it just wasn't the Judge Dredd movie fans wanted. Now a low key British film company has had another crack at bringing Dredd to the silver screen, and the result is a great science fiction action film that holds no punches and gives the audience a gritty, gory and surprisingly relatable take on the comic book hero.

Judge Dredd: Wanted: Dredd or Alive is the first audio drama produced by Big Finish Productions based on the character Judge Dredd in British comic 2000 AD. Plot. Cadet Judge Amy Steel is assigned to Judge Dredd for her final assessment, she begins to suspect that Dredd is becoming psychotic as a result of sleep deprivation, even to the point of turning traitor against the law and siding with the notorious "Frendz" crime syndicate. Steel is torn between her duty to the law and her admiration for Mega-City One's most revered lawman.

Judge Dredd is the city’s law enforcer, respected by all judges and feared by all crooks. The Psi Judges sense a horrible plague approaching the city, and the Dark Judges are their prime suspects. Later the release of viruses that change the host into a "Vampire" or a "Zombie" was then blamed on Dr. Icarus and Judge Death.
