The Locust is the third release by The Locust. It was released on Gold Standard Laboratories in March 1997. In 2004, the EP was remastered and re-issued on 3" CD and 7" vinyl, and included two bonus tracks.

The Locust is an American grindcore band from San Diego, California, United States known for their unique mix of grind speed and aggression, complexity, and new wave weirdness. The band is noted for their use of insect costumes when performing live. Prior to The Locust founding members Justin Pearson and Dylan Scharf were in the hardcore punk band Struggle together, formed in late 1990. The band only lasted three years.

Unto the Locust is the seventh full-length studio album by American heavy metal band Machine Head, released in Australia on September 23, in the UK on September 26 and worldwide on September 27, 2011. The album was produced and mixed by Robb Flynn, and it was the band's highest charting album ever, charting at 22 on the Billboard 200, until their following release Bloodstone & Diamonds charted at 21. Unto the Locust was recorded in Green Day's Jingletown Studios

Gold Standard Laboratories does everyone a huge favor and reissues the little EP that could (suck your brain out with a straw), the Locust's self-titled, nine-song, ute 7" debut.

A square one, I guess. So I looked into making Three One G’s first shaped CD, which seemed fitting for The Locust. The main issue I faced was that there was a limit to the amount I had to manufacture and, well, I got duped.
